Prophets like Jeremiah, Isaiah, Amos, and others were, essentially, the preachers of that time who also possessed the gift of prophecy. Much of what we read in their books are their sermons and exhortations to the kings and people of that period. Even Solomon refers to himself as “the preacher” in the book of Ecclesiastes. ”
