The Mayor of Bethlehem, Mr. Maher N. Canawati, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Lucy Thaljieh, several members of the Municipal Council, and a team of municipal staff, visited the Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation – the Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation and Surgery. They were received by the Society’s General Director, Mr. Elie Shihadeh, Administrative Director Ms. Jihan Zaidan, and Medical Director Dr. Nizar Qumsieh.

During the meeting, the Mayor emphasized that the Municipality of Bethlehem considers itself an integral part of this esteemed institution, expressing deep appreciation for its vital role in the health sector despite ongoing challenges and financial pressures. The discussion also explored opportunities for future cooperation, particularly in the field of solar energy, and ways to strengthen networking with partner cities and supportive institutions to enhance the Society’s services.
