This is a beautifully handcrafted version of The Praying Hands. It was made of Olive Wood in Bethlehem.
It measures 8.5 inches high x 4 inches wide.
The Olive tree has both a sentimental and religious significance. According to the Bible, it is beleived that Jesus prayed underneath an Olive tree in the Garden of Gethsemane after the Last Supper. This sacred Olive tree is still in existence today. The Bible repeatedly refers to the Olive tree as a symbol of Peace, fertility and prosperity. This Olive wood piece was handcrafted by a Christian family, all born and raised in the Little Town of Bethlehem.
